Mirko Baselgia
Born in 1982, Mirko Baselgia is one of the most promising Swiss sculptors, whose artistic production is characterised by the selection, combination, and accurate use of very different materials.
Fonderia Nolana has collaborated for some time with the young artist for the bronze casting of Endoderm (marmot burrows). Mirko Baselgia experimented for the first time the fusion of the lava of Vesuvius to realise works of art. This experiment awarded him the Artistic Prize Manor Coira and the Art Museum Grigioni (Coira) dedicated an exhibition to the artist in March 2013, his first solo exhibition in a museum.
Fonderia Nolana has collaborated for years with Mirko Baselgia for the production of his works of art, for example the design of the work in bronze “Endoderm” for the solo exhibition in the Art Museum Grigioni entitled “Primavera”. For this project, the fusion of the lava of Vesuvius was experimented for the first time to realise works of art.
