Ugo Rondinone
Ugo Rondinone was born in Brunnen (Switzerland) in 1963 and now is an internationally renowned artist, living and working in New York. Rondinone uses the most varied materials in his works, realising artistic productions which combine the influence of Pop Art and Minimalism.
Rondinone has studied at the Hochschule fur Angewandte Kunst in Wien and draw attention to himself from all over the world in 1990 with a series of installations. His works are based on sculpture, painting, video, sounds and photography. Rondinone boasts individual exhibitions in the greatest contemporary art museums in the world, including the Kunsthalle in Wien, the MUSAC in León, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Louisiana, the Humlebaek in Denmark, the Sculpture Center in New York. In 2007 he represented Switzerland at the Venice Biennale.
Fonderia Nolana has collaborated with Ugo Rondinone for many years, realising many of his works in bronze, aluminium and resin.
