Ugo Rondinone ha racchiuso le sue opere in una mostra intitolata il “Vocabolario della solitudine” che è stata esposta in Danimarca dal Dicembre 2017 al Dicembre 2018.
La mostra ha catturato l’umanità tipica degli animatori, ritraendoli in un momento di calma meditativa.

Lo spettacolo, svolto al Museo Arken, presenta 45 sculture (l’installazione è stata curata dalla Fonderia Nolana Del Giudice) di pagliacci che dormono. L’artista svizzero è noto per creare opere gioiose e meditative che riguardano sia la mente che il cuore. Questi pagliacci sono stanchi e tristi, il che è del tutto opposto a quanto ci si aspetta, ovvero che i pagliacci siano felici, energici e divertenti. Sono esseri umani catturati appena usciti dai loro ruoli e dalle loro scarpe da clown oppure in un momento di pace prima dell’inizio dello spettacolo quando stanno per allacciarsi le stringhe delle scarpe.
“Vocabolario della solitudine” è un ritratto del giorno di una singola persona sviluppato in 45 atti. Ogni clown rappresenta un attore per una di queste azioni ed è chiamato come un verbo: respirare, dormire, sognare e svegliarsi. Insieme formano un ciclo infinito di 24 ore.

The exhibition, displayed at Museum Arken, is articulated in 45 sculptures (whose installation was carried out by Fonderia Nolana) depicting sleeping clowns. The Swiss artist is famous for his joyful and meditative works, touching both mind and heart. These clowns, instead, are tired and sad, which is the opposite of what we would expect, since clowns are always happy, vivacious, and funny. Here they are depicted as human beings, just a minute after getting out of their roles and their clown shoes or capturing a peaceful moment before the beginning of the performance, when they are about to lacing up their shoes. “Vocabolario della solitudine” is the portrait of a single person during a day, developed in 45 acts. Each clown represents an actor for each one of these actions and is called like a verb: breathing, sleeping, dreaming, and waking up. Together, they make an infinite 24 hours cycle.
